Synopsis:
All round the world, children are shaking hands or playing with a ball. They are all of different races. Jordy and his friends play football several times a day in front of the mural at their school in Gandesa which shows an ideal world. This mural against intolerance was painted by Jordy and the pupils of his Catalonian school.
Jordy dreams about football a lot and especially about the great teams of the world. In particular he dreams about Barça, 120 miles north of Gandesa. He has never been to a big match, his dream is to see Barça against Real Madrid.
Twice a week his mother drives him 20 miles to the town of Tortosa. For two years Jordy has played for the youngest team in the Tortosa club. He’s a good centre forward. His coach, Paco Llangostera, a great former goalkeeper for Barça and team mate of Johan Gruyff promises to take him to see the match which grips the whole of Spain. As well as this wonderful surprise, Paco takes him to the Juan Carlos Hotel, where all the big teams stay before playing Barça. Before leaving for the "Campnou" stadium, he watches the players come out of the hotel one by one and get in the team bus.
After the unforgettable excitement of the match, Jordy finds it difficult to get to sleep in the room he shares with his friend Lluis, the Tortosa left winger.
After each training session, they go to the English cake shop run by Lluis’ mother. Each time Lluis never fails to tell his friend about the match he went to see two years ago at the "Campnou" in Barcelone.
They get to sleep and next morning Paco takes them to Barça’s training session. He also takes up above Barcelone to meet a friend, one of Barça’s personalities, symbol of modern football, the fabulous Johan Gruyff.
