Synopsis:
Every Sunday, at 2.30 precisely, Francesco, an 11 year old Sicilian, accompanied by Guiseppe, president of the supporters club of Juventus of Turin, steps across the portal in a little street in Corleone. Gathered like worshippers in the gloom of the big room, nearly a hundred supporters live every moment of Juve’s televised match. Francesco dreams... He dreams that one day he will go to see Juve play in the Alpine stadium in Turin. His big dream is to meet the players in the changing rooms, to be on the pitch with them and an even bigger dream, to kick a ball around with his idols during training.
Especially since he met Nino Monsella, gamekeeper in the Ficuzza forest and President of the Sicilian supporters club. Nino is a passionate believer and sparked an obsessional desire in Francesco to go to Turin. Nino promised that he would get him to meet Toto Schillaci and, maybe, the great player would one day make his dream come true.
Inspired with this almost unreal goal, he plays all the more passionately, either in the school playground or with the Corleone team, where he is a brilliant striker. Even on Sunday mornings, when he is altar boy at mass, he dreams of Juve, of the trip...
He has always supported Corleone every Sunday, and the girls team. Mum, Dad and brother Mauricio settle down on the balcony of the flat that overlooks the clay ground.
Often, he can’t take the excitement and he goes down to the touchline with his brother to cheer them on. Today Nino gives his the good news : Toto Schillaci says he can come and meet him...
