Synopsis:
One November morning in Port-Regis school : "Great-Britain numbers 57 millions inhabitants, it covers 244 120 Km², the currency is the pound sterling, the capital is London, the main cities are Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester"... say the pupils.
James Gidding and George Dowse-Brewan are both very well aducated into the beautiful Port-Regis School . They receive the best in all topics . The one that they really enjoy is Football . They leave for football, they dream about it all day long. James dreams: he’s at Anfield ,home of the Reds and George is at Old Trafford, home of Manchester United. Here, in this typical English public school, famed for its teaching, James and George are friends but they belong to different clans : one Liverpool, one Manchester.
Everything refers to the famous local Derby, from the posters on the trunks at the beginning of the term, to the pillows on the beds in the dormitory, not to mention the matches in the corridor or the "official" matches refereed by the Headmaster.
James Gidding plays for the little club of Warminster Dynamos and often supports Swindon F .C club like his father did before him.
In spite of the long distance from Shaftesbury to Liverpool, Mr Gidding promises to take James to the "Manchester:Liverpool" derby match, but James asks one more favour : he wants George to come with them to the mythical Anfield Road stadium.
They have also an other incredible dream . It is to assiste to the training session of the Manchester team ...
